Everyone had different experiences and inspirations so during practice they began experimenting with tones, pedals, melodies and basically blending themselves together from all their influences. In 2002 they gained the bassist Pat Seals and Mosley began to focus on vocals taking a step away from the bass.
The band was originally named Passerby releasing 3 EP's they played the circuit in Texas under a booking company called Runt Entertainment. Eventually in 2004 they played a showcase for RCA Records in NYC trying to get signed but got passed by. However, Octone Records saw them play and was very interested which eventually lead to an official record deal January 7, 2004.

BarlowGirls
By 2002 the girls had ten songs written and where given an all paid pass to Gospel Music Association's Music in the Rockies seminar.
Unknowingly this seminar was a band competition for unsigned artist given by a record label. Nevertheless, they made it to the finals. After the seminar, record companies began showing much interest in the sisters until they were signed to Fervent Records in 2003. Before Barlow Girl could make their first album there name was already famous.

FireFlight
Fireflight is a Christian rock group that became well known for their last album "Unbreakable" but their journey as a band began with long hours on the road touring and practicing together. Fireflight released one unsigned record and an EP album before they were signed to Flicker Records in 2006 and released their debut album "The Healing of Hams."
